Understand your usage and allowances

What counts towards each allowance, where to see your usage, and what happens at the limit.

Updated 24 Oct 2026

Your plan includes allowances for the things that cost money to run, such as AI conversations, call time and messages, and Usage in the sidebar shows how much of each you have used. Your allowances reset on your billing date each month, not on the first of the month.

Where to see your usage

  • Usage in the sidebar shows each allowance for the current billing period: how much you have used, how much remains and whether you are over a limit.
  • Settings → Billing shows Allowances this period, and the Plans card shows what each plan includes.

What counts

  • AI conversations are counted once each, when the conversation starts, whatever the channel. Conversations in the test console count too.
  • Voice is the length of calls, measured in seconds.
  • Text messages and WhatsApp messages count each message sent from your account, including replies from your team and payment links.
  • Paid orders are orders whose payment has gone through.
  • Phone numbers are the numbers on your account.
  • Team members are the people on your team, counted at the highest point in the period.
  • Connected systems are integrations such as a Shopify store, counted at the highest point in the period.

Warnings

When you reach 80% and then 100% of an allowance, a message appears at the top of your dashboard and the account owner gets an email. The message has buttons to Change plan and View usage.

At the limit

When an allowance is used up, new work of that kind stops until your next billing date, or until you move to a plan with a bigger allowance. For example, the assistant stops starting new conversations, or new team members cannot be added.

Two things are never stopped:

  • a call that is already in progress; and
  • the messages that complete an order already being placed, such as a payment link or a payment confirmation.

An upgrade applies immediately, so changing your plan is the quickest way to get more.
