Connect Lightspeed Retail (X-Series)

Bring your Lightspeed Retail X-Series products, prices and stock into Hapro, outlet by outlet.

Updated 24 Oct 2026

To connect Lightspeed Retail X-Series, select Connect on the Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) card in Settings → Integrations and approve the connection in Lightspeed. Hapro then uses the same products, prices and stock, and there are no keys to copy.

X-Series is the Lightspeed system that used to be called Vend; its address ends in .retail.lightspeed.app. Lightspeed R-Series and Lightspeed eCom are separate products, and Hapro does not connect to them.

This connection is in beta. We have tested it against simulated Lightspeed stores, not yet against live ones. If anything comes across wrongly, contact us.

Before you start

  • In Hapro, an owner or administrator connects stores. Each connected store counts towards your plan's connected systems allowance.
  • Add your shops in Hapro first, so each outlet's stock has somewhere to go. See Manage your locations.
  • If the Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) card in Settings → Integrations says Not available yet, Lightspeed has not been switched on for Hapro yet. Contact us.

Connect

  1. Open Settings → Integrations.
  2. On the Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) card, select Connect.
  3. If you like, fill in Your Lightspeed store name: the first part of your Lightspeed address. For mystore.retail.lightspeed.app, it is mystore. Leave it empty to choose your store on Lightspeed instead.
  4. Select Continue to Lightspeed.
  5. In Lightspeed, choose your store if asked, and approve the connection.
  6. You come back to Integrations, and your products start coming across.

What comes across

  • Products and variants arrive together: a Lightspeed product and its variants become one product in Hapro, with each variant's SKU and price. Where Lightspeed has a price including tax, that is the price used.
  • Categories come from each product's product type.
  • Stock is the count at each Lightspeed outlet you have chosen.

Products that are inactive in Lightspeed come across but are not offered to customers. Products deleted in Lightspeed are archived in Hapro. Product images are not brought across.

Choose which outlets count

When you connect, an outlet with the same name as one of your Hapro shops is matched to it. If none match, Lightspeed's first outlet is matched to your first shop. Any other outlet's stock is ignored until you choose a shop for it. To check or change this, see Choose which locations feed your stock.

Keeping it up to date

Lightspeed does not send Hapro notices when something changes. Instead:

  • Hapro checks Lightspeed for changes every 15 minutes, including deleted products.
  • It runs a full sync every night.
  • To sync without waiting, select Sync now on the Lightspeed card in Settings → Integrations. Select Sync history on the same card to see each sync and what it did.

Products managed by Lightspeed

Products from Lightspeed show Managed by Lightspeed on the Products page. Their details, prices and stock come from Lightspeed, so change them there. A spreadsheet import cannot change them either.

Orders taken in Hapro are not sent to Lightspeed.

If the card says Needs attention

The card says what needs fixing, in words. If Lightspeed has stopped accepting Hapro's access, connect again from the Lightspeed card. If Lightspeed could not be reached, there is nothing to do: the next sync tries again.

Connecting a different store

Hapro keeps one Lightspeed store at a time. To switch, select Connect a different Lightspeed store on the card. You are asked to confirm, because the new store replaces the current one. Products from the old store stay in Hapro but stop updating from it.

Disconnecting

On the Lightspeed card, select Disconnect, then confirm. Hapro stops syncing and deletes the access it held. Lightspeed gives Hapro no way to withdraw that access at Lightspeed's end, so deleting it is what ends the connection. Your products stay in Hapro, and their prices and stock become yours to edit by hand.
